Una notte diversa dalle altre. Una notte nella quale si fa presto ad arrivare al mattino. E’ la notte degli Oscar, il premio cinematografico più prestigioso e antico al mondo. Neanche la pandemia da Coronavirus e le conseguenti restrizioni sanitarie, almeno per il momento, fermano l’Academy Award. 
La 93ª edizione degli Academy Awards si terrà il 25 aprile. Aspettando quella notte, nel frattempo, ecco annunciate le nomination per le varie categorie. A causa del Covid-19, molte pellicole uscite nell’ultimo anno non sono state trasmesse nelle sale cinematografiche, ma tramite le piattaforme di streaming.
Premi Oscar 2021, le candidature
Vuoi per la pandemia, vuoi per quel senso di appartenenza globale contro la piaga del Covid-19, la 93ª edizione degli Oscar 2021 è una delle più inclusive di sempre: 70 donne su 76 nomination. Per la prima volta due registe: Chloé Zhao (Nomadland) ed Emerald Fennell “Promising Young Woman”. Riz Ahmed (Sound of Metal) il primo musulmano in nomination per il ruolo di miglior attore.

L’Italia è rappresentata da Laura Pausini (La vita davanti a sé) già premiata agli ultimi Golden Globe 2021. E con Pinocchio di Matteo Garrone, che ha due nomination: per i migliori costumi e per il trucco/acconciature. I Premi Oscar verranno trasmessi in Italia sul canale Sky Cinema Oscar (canale 303), ma anche in streaming su NOW TV.
